On the afternoon of April 22, 2023, the 19th Programming Competition, co-sponsored by the School Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Center, the School of Computer and Information (School of Artificial Intelligence), the School of Software, and the Hefei University of Technology CCF Student Branch, was successfully held in the computer room of the Emerald Lake Campus. This competition was open to all undergraduate students in the school, with more than 120 students from 15 majors in 6 colleges registering to participate. After the online competition, 60 students participated in the on-site competition that day.
This year's competition was conducted on-site, lasting for 3 hours with a total of 6 problems. After the solution program was submitted, it was scored by an automatic judging program. Only submissions that passed all test data for each problem were considered valid; otherwise, they would be penalized. The correctness of the submitted program was promptly fed back to the contestants via the network by the judging system. After 3 hours of intense competition, a total of 50 students submitted code that met the requirements of the competition. From this, 7 first prizes, 13 second prizes, and 18 third prizes were awarded. The specific list of winners can be seen in Attachment 1. The students who won this competition will have the opportunity to represent the school in the 2023 Anhui Province University Student Programming Competition and the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM-ICPC).
After the competition, the organizers will provide concentrated training and online problem-solving training for the selected outstanding students, encourage students to actively prepare for the competition, help improve students' logical analysis and programming abilities, and prepare for participation in higher-level competitions. The successful hosting of this event has further enlivened the atmosphere of technological innovation activities on campus, provided students with a practical platform for participating in programming competitions, and played a positive role in improving the programming level of our university students.
