On June 25, 2023, the School of Computer and Information and the School of Software held a seminar to exchange research results on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Room A1104 of the Emerald Science and Education Building. The meeting was chaired by Nian Yongqi, the secretary of the party committee of the school, and members of the school's leadership team participated in the exchange and discussion.
Since the launch of the thematic education, members of the school's leadership team have adhered to problem-oriented approaches, closely linked to practical work, and conducted in-depth research through on-site inspections, roundtable exchanges, individual interviews, and on-site visits, striving to understand the situation clearly and analyze the crux of the issues, forming research reports on this basis. Based on the previous research, at the exchange meeting, members of the school's leadership team reported and exchanged research results on topics such as the construction of teacher party branches after departmental reform, the career development of young teachers, the coordinated advancement of organized scientific research work, student science and technology innovation practice activities, undergraduate graduation design teaching work, and the optimization of professional training programs.
Nian Yongqi pointed out at the meeting that at this research results exchange meeting, everyone focused on the reform and development of the school, focused on hot and difficult issues, discovered some bottleneck problems restricting the development of the school, and reached some preliminary consensus on solutions. The meeting emphasized that research itself is not the goal, but a form, method, and approach. The school needs to further closely combine reality, make up for shortcomings in the research process such as insufficient research time and insufficient research results, promote continuous in-depth research, apply research results to the practice of accelerating the reform and development of the school, realize the deep transformation of results, and promote the high-quality connotative development of the school.
