"Taking on the challenge and showcasing youthful energy, exploring industrial transformation in Yaohai." On July 10th, the summer social practice team from the School of Computer and Information Science at Hefei University of Technology embarked on a research trip to Yaohai District in Hefei City, initiating this investigation journey.

The team members arrived at the office of the Eastern New Center Construction, Yu Ping, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee, and Zhang Hongling, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee, warmly received the research team. The team members gave brief introductions during the meeting, and shared their research visions. Teachers Ding Hongpei and Yao Yuanzhi introduced the deputy secretaries to the basic situation of the School of Computer and Information Science (School of Artificial Intelligence) at Hefei University of Technology and the necessity of combining IoT professional theory with practice. Secretary Yu introduced the policy and industrial background of the transformation and upgrading projects in Yaohai District, answered questions about talent introduction, and encouraged young people to promote Yaohai and devote themselves to its development and construction. She emphasized that Yaohai District as the core area of the new eastern center, is undergoing a profound transformation from a traditional industrial area to a modern and diversified urban functional area. This process requires a large amount of infrastructure construction and craves innovative talents and cutting-edge technology to achieve industrial upgrading and comprehensive economic and social takeoff. Meanwhile, the research team also stated that they would carefully organize the information collected during this research trip to form valuable research reports, supporting further cooperation between the college and the Yaohai District.

Yaohai a treasure land with old trees and new flowers. The team members arrived at their first stop - Huiyuan of Interconnection Gem Land. Interconnection Gem Land is an "Internet +" industry cluster park brand built and operated by Baosteel Real Estate Management Co., Ltd., under China Baowu Steel Group. The park retains industrial relics such as red brick walls and Yuying Pavilion, and through planning and renovation, the old factory buildings have extensively met modern office needs. Walking through the courtyards and into the houses feels like traveling back to the last century from a modern office building. The team members visited the Chedi Auto Mall and Dream Wedding Company and settled in the park. Interconnection Gem Land gathers industrial forces from various industries, stimulates innovation vitality, and provides fertile soil for enterprises to upgrade and develop. The construction of Huiyuan is part of the relocation and transformation of the old industrial area in Yaohai District, Hefei City, and a model for transforming the once "industrial rust belt" into a livable and business-friendly "life show belt".

China Valley, attracting investments from all directions. In the afternoon, the team members arrived at China Valley and visited the China Valley Exhibition Hall. The team members learned that China Valley presents an "One Valley, Three Bases" industrial layout, with the IoT Technology Industrial Park as the core platform, the Yangtze River Delta Digital Technology Demonstration Park as the manufacturing core, and the Shangrong Medical Industrial Park as the application core. The three bases are constructed in tandem, accelerating the landing and growth of emerging industries such as IoT, big data, software information services, and smart healthcare, with more than 600 enterprises settled here. The team members visited Shihe Robotics Company, a typical enterprise the Yaohai District government awarded through a bidding process, which moved from Shenzhen to Hefei. The company is committed to providing open-source mobile robots, composite robots, and robot laboratory construction solutions for universities and research institutions, and is a leading enterprise in the industry. The team members had enthusiastic exchanges with the person in charge about robot development, applications, and company development issues and completed the interview work. In ancient times, King Yan of Yan built a golden platform, offering generous rewards o recruit talented individuals widely, demonstrating his eagerness for talent; today, Yaohai's IoT Industry Park gathers elite business talents from all over the world to jointly draw the grand blueprint for the development of Yaohai, deeply impressing the team members with the sincere intentions and full sincerity of the Yaohai District government in recruiting talents and seeking common future. This fertile land invites guests from all directions with an open attitude and pragmatic measures, joining hands to create a new era of prosperity and flourishing for Yaohai.

During the visits to Huiyuan of Interconnection Gem Land, the Eastern New Center Exhibition Hall, and China Valley, team members gained a preliminary understanding of the historical culture of traditional industrial bases. Through learning about the development path of technology empowerment and industrial upgrading, they couldn't help but marvel at the importance of industrial transformation and upgrading. The members believe that Hefei Yaohai possesses a profound cultural heritage, enthusiastic work attitude, sincere cooperative spirit, and firm development confidence. Yaohai District is bound to have great potential in the future. Additionally, today's research work has accumulated valuable experience for the team, laying a solid foundation for the members' subsequent work.
