The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition is a long-standing and influential national academic contest. It has cultivated a large number of versatile talents who are capable, innovative, and collaborative. The competition is included in the National Ordinary Colleges Discipline Competition Ranking List and the National College Students Competition Analysis Report released by the Chinese Society of Higher Education. This year's competition featured four categories: innovation, athletics, challenge, and application, and was conducted in three stages: university-level selection, provincial selection, and national finals. Provincial competitions were held across 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, involving more than 800 universities and over 14,000 teams. Starting from the provincial level, the competition aims to foster students' ability to solve practical problems, integrating theory with practice, promoting teamwork, and achieving interdisciplinary integration. It focuses on cultivating students' problem-solving skills and significantly nurtures high-quality, cutting-edge innovative talents.
Our school, led by our college, began organizing this competition in March this year. Eighty-four teams from seven departments, including the School of Computer and Information (School of Artificial Intelligence), School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Automobile and Transportation Engineering, School of Instrument Science and Opto-Electronic Engineering, School of Management, and School of Software, participated in the internal selection process. Thirty teams were recommended for the Anhui provincial competition, and ultimately, 20 teams advanced to the national finals."
